BIOGRAPHY
Sofia, who was trained as an Organist and Baroque Cellist at Malmö Academy of Music and Royal College of Music in Stockholm, is a distinguished Choral Conductor. Her interpretations have been recognized with a number of honors and she has been awarded numerous prizes for her conducting. With the Male Voice Ensemble Svanholm Singers, which she conducts since 2001, she has recorded six albums and made several concert tours around the world.
Sofias former posts include Chorus Master at Malmö Opera and Malmö Stadsteater, guest conductor of the Swedish Radio Choir, Malmö Symphony Orchestra and at Lund Choral International Festival. As soloist she has also performed at Skånes Dansteater, Operaverkstan and Teater Insite. In cooperation with Malmö Live Concert Hall, she founded Malmö Live Vokalensemble in 2015 and stayed their Director until 2018 when she was selected as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Danish Chamber Choir Camerata.
